Telco expense management specialist the Full Circle group has warned that international roaming costs have “dramatically increased” over the last year, based on the experiences of a client base that includes Amcor, Mazda and Schneider Electric.
“We’ve got a large number of clients, with access to all of their billing data, and from that we’ve seen the cost of overseas roaming go up for all those clients,” MD Tony Simmons told CommsDay. “Part of that is the change in people’s approach to it; using it more freely... the devices are so ingrained in the way that people do business. The other side is the data side of it; people have iPhones, people have Android devices, people have iPads. That proliferation of data is something that has caught business by surprise, and the cost of data roaming for people in Australia is just unjustifiably large.”
